Eliminating Debt The Right Way

Are you getting precious little sleep due to debt problems? Is your stomach in knots? Are you paying just the minimum on your credit card payments to keep the wolf at bay? If you answered yes to any of the above questions, it’s time for you to take back control of your financial life.

No matter what your current debt situation, you are the best candidate to get yourself on the right financial track. A consumer credit or debt management specialist may get you out of debt, but here’s why they aren’t very advisable.

They can do the same things that you can do on your own, except for one thing – a sizable fee for their overrated services. And since debt management companies are usually owned by or connected to credit card companies, they’re only looking out for number one, and that would be the credit card companies, not you.

So when things don’t turn out as planned, do you really think you can still trust them? Evaluate where you stand with your debt. You would then have two options if your expenses are dwarfing your income like Goliath towering over David – but take note, we’re here to help you play the part of David!

Cut the excess spending or raise your income. Get a temporary part time job. Did you know pizza delivery drivers can earn between $300-$500 weekly? Part-time jobs can do wonders when paying off your debts.

If your debts are so overwhelmingly high, then it wouldn’t hurt to give your creditors a call. Let them know how much you can pay them. If they say they can’t accept that, send the amount you can afford anyway.

With the exception of returned checks, do you really think creditors bounce payments back? You don’t have to be a genius to get out of debt. Just make your payments steadily, just like that plucky little turtle who upset the hare in the race.

Debt can wreak havoc on your marriage, it can ruin your future financial health, and it can even affect your body because of the stress factors it puts on you. The solution is not to ignore your debts – simple as that.

You can tame the monster called debt, but it takes a lot of courage to face up to it and a lot of patience to settle it gradually. Work together with the lenders and hammer out a compromise and you can settle your debts without stress, no matter how insurmountable they may seem.
